Alex - just kicking back enjoying a replay of peppers and jelly and old fashioned house. I continue to love those arrangements as well as your great comic timing.
I also recall another tune you and Maria do many moons ago at Six String Cafe in Cary,NC. I've never found it on an alburm. It rocks with a driving rhythm lick. I think you introduce it as a jest to your grandma about the wild life on the road. Does this sound familiar and is the track available for sale? I'd hate to embarrass myself by suggesting any lyrics...
I've just happened upon your site and am enjoying your recent work. Great music!

Hey Alex, i spoke w/you and Peter on C'ville's mall the other day. Sorry i couldn't make it to Fellini's but i've been enjoying the disc. 'We'll be Alright' reminds me of David Bowie. Madeline is my favorite,,, followed closely by 'I'm Yours' and 'Sweet Devil.' Hope you enjoyed C'ville. Keep it up and enjoy the rest of your tour. You've got a lot of talent.

I noticed that you'll be passing through Asheville and Nashville in January. If you've got the time you should really make a stop in Knoxville and perform. Knoxville is filled with great hearted folks that have great taste and appreciation for your music style. I loved it down there, as I lived there for a few months this past year. Here are a few clubs that may interest you: Barley's, Pilot Light, World Grotto, Cha Cha's and the Bisou theatre. Good luck.

Just wanted to say that The Tin Angel gig was so great. I loved every minute of the show. I can always count on my dear friend Lance to guide me towards amazing talent. Aside from his of course. My friend Hitomi was trusting enough to join me, having never heard your stuff. She loved it as well. Thank you for sharing of yourself. See you again soon.

Alex, your CD release show at Tin Angel last night was great! I couldn't stay late so I didn't get to say hi, but I did get a copy of the CD, and I'm glad I stayed for the encore & the story about your new guitar, "sexy bitch" -- yes, she's hot, but don't let her push you around too much! Next thing you know, you'll be buying her a car...

Allison...Kiss Me Kate! wow, been awhile. Nope, the Tin's right in Old City. 20 South 2nd street, right off of Market. It's on the 2nd floor above Serranno's. Hope to see you there!

Hey Alex,
I am not sure if you'll even remember me, but I saw an advertisment for your upcoming performance at Northampton, I couldn't believe it was you, or maybe I could! I always knew you had "it" even when you were a sophomore at Central. I am very proud of you.

Hey Alex! Sorry we missed you when you played the Tin Angel earlier this Summer -- Eric had to work and I was otherwise occupied, but we live outside of Philly now (in south Jersey), so we were thinking of you!
Actually, I also played the TA last year when David Wannop asked me to, and I was thinking I'd try to have my own CD release party there later this year (whenever I can get the damn thing printed).
Hope your tour is going great guns, and I'm looking forward to your CD release party in Philly on 9/9 -- Eric has to work but I'm planning to attend! Let me know if you ever want female vocals (check out my website & Sonicbids EPK for examples of my work -- lydiawitman.com).
Best of luck, and glad to see you're still making music! Can't wait to hear the new stuff,

Subject: [Folk-Alliance] Job Opportunity at Sing Out!
Date: April 6, 2006 12:19:08 PM EDT
To: mark@singout.org
Reply-To: folk-alliance@folk.org
Hi All -
Sorry about the cross-post ... I'll be brief.
Scott Atkinson, our managing editor, is moving on to "greener"
pastures (a job at a gardening magazine), so we're stuck with the
difficult job of finding a replacement to fill his shoes and seat
here. Here are the details:
WANTED: Managing Editor for a Folk Music quarterly magazine. A
full-time on-site position located in Bethlehem, PA. Salary
commensurate with experience, as well as full benefits (including
health care, pension, vacation and more). Basic computer skills
necessary (word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and a
little web design). Job description includes some writing, copy
editing, traffic management and scheduling for magazine production
and freelance writing staff, advertising sales and supervision, and
some travel (especially to festivals over the summer months).
If you're interested, or know of anyone who might be, please contact
me (or send a resume) directly at the email below in the signature.
(DO NOT reply to this message, or it will post to this list and make
everyone else unhappy. I'll be happy to be more specific about
the range of salary we can offer with any qualified, serious candidate.

I just wanted to let you know that going to see you two play is my absolute favorite thing to do. No matter what is going on in my life, or my mood, there is something in your music and lyrics that makes me feel at home and relaxed. I had never been to Godfrey's, but sitting there watching you play made it feel like home. That is probably why I have continued coming to see you play for so long. You two are truly musical artists. I just want to say thank you for all the "uplifting" that your music has done for me. I am already looking forward to your reunion tour. Hell..if the Backstreet Boys can have a reunion tour, as they called it, so can the much more talented Duende. As for last night, I will only say what all of the many many people that I have brought to come see you have said..."Wow!". Good luck and I'll see you solo.

Wanted you to know I just had the extreme pleasure of checking out your website and music (I'm kicking myself for not having done it sooner, I just realized you had a website this evening from that email Mike sent us). You and Maria are truly talented - I'm disappointed I never had the chance to see you guys play live. Anyway, I wish you the very best of luck flying solo! Perhaps you'll visit Charlotte on your next tour?
By the way...I had a great time working with you on the movie - see you at the premier!

Ok - I left a similar message for Maria- saw your show on 7/1 and could not believe how great you guys are. Also great your gfs' friend shared her wine with us.
